The initiative is aimed at deepening the industry - academia bonds and building a strong foundation for the future needs of both academia and the growing IT industry. This global initiative focuses in creating industry ready IT professionals, by aligning the engineering talent with the needs of the Industry.
Foundation Programme (FP)
The Core of Campus Connect Programme in BVRIT is the foundation programme. This foundation programme course helps in training thousands of entry level engineers from heterogeneous backgrounds and disciplines through world class projects. The foundation programme provides unique set of teaching aids & consolidated training material to the faculty of BVRIT to help their students industry ready.
Soft Skills Training programme
It is well recognized by the industry that the repertoire of skills that successful entry level employees.
Bring to the workplace have two categories : Technical Skills and Soft Skills. " Soft Skills " are those that are crucial to an employee's ability to work " smarter ". A survey of employers has revealed that, some of the skills that are essential for entry level employees include :
- Articulation, competence in reading, writing, effective listening and oral communication skills.
- Adaptability to cross cultural environment through creative thinking and problem solving.
- Personal management with assertiveness and initiative.
- Interpersonal skills.
- The ability to work in teams.
Enterprises define the entrants to be " Industry Ready " when they possess these soft skills. IT industry in particular, is facing critical need to bridge the soft skills gap.
